Biography:
JUDITH INDA * (Mexican-Canadian)
Teacher of the Alexander Technique / Actress / Theater Director / Independent Cultural Manager / Mother.
Alexander Technique teacher certified by the Toronto School of the Alexander Technique, under the tutelage of Elaine Kopman. Co-founder and member of the Asociación de Profesores de Técnica Alexander de México (APTAM).
With more than 30 years of experience as an actress, Judith has worked with well-known directors and forms part of the regular cast of the Compañía Nacional de Teatro of the Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes y Literatura. She has taught the Alexander Technique in various private and public settings, including the Unidad de Vinculación Artística (UVA) of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), CEUVOZ, the Faculty of Cinema, the Academia de la Danza Mexicana, the Sistema Nacional de Fomento Musical, the Escuela Nacional de Arte Teatral, and the Orquesta Sinfónica Juvenil Carlos Chávez, as well as at schools for artistic initiation as part of the SGEIA-INBA (Subdirección General de Educación e Investigación Artística - Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes) in Mexico City.
Her work combines performing with teaching the Alexander Technique, with a focus on the application of the Technique for professional artists and actors as well as performing arts students and trainees. She has published articles and essays on this topic and has been invited to share her experience in various forums.
As an independent cultural manager, Judith has directed and collaborated on collective creative projects and co-productions. Her passion for the Alexander Technique and the arts leads her to share her expertise and experience with others, seeking to promote well-being and body awareness in the artistic community and beyond.
