Biography:
Felipe Ángel Bojórquez Espinosa, originally from Cuernavaca, Morelos, is a professional musician, Alexander Technique teacher, and Mindfulness (MBSR) instructor. His work focuses on the research and development of healthy musical practice, with a special emphasis on injury prevention and mental health care for high-performance musicians.
He began his musical training at an early age, studying piano, harmony, and ear training with his cousin, pianist Turcios Ruiz. Later, he specialized in the flute and continued his studies at the National School of Music (UNAM) and the Universidad Veracruzana, where he was a student of Horacio Puchet Cánepa and Natalia Valderrama Ruoy. Subsequently, he moved to Buenos Aires to continue his training at the National University of the Arts (UNA) with Laura Falcone and Raúl Becerra.
Parallel to his Bachelor of Music, he completed a diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Universidad Autónoma de Chapingo, graduating with honors for his research paper 'The Influence of Sound on Health.'
His interest in integrating health into musical practice led him to earn a Master’s degree in the Benenzon Model of Music Therapy for Mental Health at the Benenzon Music Therapy Foundation in Argentina.
During his stay in Buenos Aires, he discovered the Alexander Technique and trained as a teacher at the Escuela de Técnica Alexander de Buenos Aires (ETABA), under the direction of Merran Poplar. He is a teacher certified by the Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique (STAT, UK) and an active member of the Alexander Technique teachers' associations of both Mexico and Argentina. In 2024, he also completed his training as an MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction) instructor.
Since 2012, his work has focused on the pedagogical application of the Alexander Technique and the re-education of body maps within musical practice.

He is the creator of the "Práctica Musical Consciente" (Conscious Musical Practice) coaching program, an approach that integrates the principles of the Alexander Technique with meditation and somatic re-education tools to promote healthy musical practice. The program focuses on developing specific strategies to prevent performance anxiety, pain, and injuries associated with high-performance music-making.
He has taught classes, lectures, and workshops at institutions, festivals, and orchestras across Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Honduras, Puerto Rico, Panama, the Dominican Republic, Spain, and the United States.
Currently, he is a member of the Board of Directors of the 'Red Mexicana de Conservatorios Saludables' (Mexican Network of Healthy Conservatories).
